EPRA Indices — FTSE EPRA Nareit and listed real estate benchmarks
EPRA, in partnership with FTSE Russell and Nareit, is the provider of the FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Real Estate Index Series — the leading international benchmark for listed real estate and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). The index family covers global, regional and specialist markets, tracking the performance of income-producing real estate companies that meet defined criteria for market capitalisation, liquidity and revenue composition.
The Global index comprises around 500 listed real estate companies and REITs representing over EUR 3 trillion of prime property worldwide. Investors, fund managers and researchers rely on EPRA indices to benchmark portfolio performance, construct REIT-focused ETFs and analyse the listed real estate market across developed and emerging economies.

The FTSE EPRA Nareit index is a series of benchmarks measuring the performance of listed real estate companies and REITs globally. Produced jointly by EPRA, FTSE Russell and Nareit, the indices are used by investors, ETF providers and researchers to track the listed real estate asset class across global, regional and specialist markets.
There are currently 347 companies in the FTSE EPRA Nareit Global benchmark.
The FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Real Estate Index Series is designed to represent general trends in listed real estate equities worldwide. Relevant activities are defined as the ownership, trading and development of income-producing real estate. The index series covers Global, Developed and Emerging markets.
The Index is reviewed quarterly in March, June, september and December each year. The results are available on the EPRA website under www.epra.com//indexes/quarterly-index-reviews.
ETF or Exchnage Traded Funds are passive vehicle that track the FTSE EPRA Nareit Index. A wide varety of providers are available and more information can be found on www.epra.com/indexes/etfs.
