Keynote speech - An introduction to Carbon Emissions Pricing (ETS, Carbon tax, etc) by Professor Paul Ekins, Professor of Resources and Environment Policy, UCL

Panel discussion 1 - What’s the cost of carbon?
Property companies, investors and policymakers will discuss the upcoming revision of ETS with the inclusion of buildings, the implications for the sector stakeholders (owners, tenants, etc) and potential benefits & limits of carbon pricing mechanisms.

Panel discussion 2 - What’s the value of carbon?
This panel will focus on the value of carbon along the entire life cycle of buildings, from embodied to operational carbon, looking at both new constructions and renovation of existing buildings.

Panel discussion 3 - Interconnectivity between energy in buildings and across other sectors
In this session, panelists will share their views and experience on how buildings can diversify their decarbonization efforts through intelligent use of power in buildings, demand and supply balancing, interconnection with the power grid and the transport sector.
