BREAKFAST WORKSHOP Location, Location, Renovation - Building for a greener future

JLL and FTI Consulting, with the support of EPRA - The European Public Real Estate Association, invite you to

BREAKFAST WORKSHOP

Location, Location, Renovation - Building for a greener future

How should the real estate sector help deliver EU energy targets?

Europe has committed to decarbonise its building stock by 2050. Responsible for 40% of total energy consumption and 36% of the EU’s CO2 emissions, the built environment has an important role to play in driving Europe’s energy efficiency targets and reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. As the EU updates its Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, 75% of buildings are considered energy-inefficient and only 1.2% of total building stock per year is being renovated.  The need for change could overhaul how the real estate sector operates.

  • What is expected from the real estate sector?
  • How will the EU incentivise and drive the rate of renovation?
  • How will occupiers be impacted?
