The goal of the Reporting & Accounting Committee is to develop and maintain a set of best practice recommendations to help property companies produce best-in-class annual financial and non-financial performance reports in order to reach listed equity investors' consistent and reliable disclosure expectations. Giacomo Balzarini

Mr. Balzarini completed his business and economic studies at the University of Zurich in 1996, and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago (Ill., USA) in 2002. Professional experience: From mid-1993 to 1996, Mr Balzarini worked at the Swiss banking company in Zurich in the fields of corporate banking and business development. From 1997 to 2006 he worked at the Swiss Reinsurance Company in the fields of risk and project management, strategy development and asset management, most recently as managing director, responsible for the development of the indirect, international property portfolio. Other activities and interests: In addition to the mandates held in the group companies controlled by PSP Swiss Property AG, Mr Balzarini had the following functions and offices to be appointed under the RLCG: Member of the Board of Directors of Seewarte Holding AG, Zug, on 31 December 2016.

Olivier Elamine is one of the founding members of alstria Office REIT-AG and became CEO of the Company in November 2006. Prior to the founding of alstria, he was a founding Partner of NATIXIS Capital Partners Ltd. (NCP; formerly IXIS Capital Partners) from 2003 to 2006. He participated in more than EUR 6bn of pan-European real estate transactions and led all the acquisition which form today alstria’s portfolio. In 2003, Olivier Elamine joined the Real Estate Investment Banking team at CDC IXIS as a Director and was one of the founding members of NATIXIS Capital Partners Ltd. In 1998 Olivier Elamine joined Ernst & Young as a consultant in the real estate industry and from 2000 to 2003 he headed the Sales & Leaseback advisory team.

Soumen joined SEGRO in January 2017 and combines leadership of the finance functions with a wider contribution to the business through responsibility for its strategy, investment and innovation teams. Christopher Drula is Senior Vice President of Financial Standards at Nareit. In this role, Drula is responsible for evaluating accounting and financial reporting proposals issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Prior to joining Nareit in 2010, Drula was a senior manager in PwC’s Banking and Capital Markets Practice where he provided audit and accounting advisory services to large publicly traded financial institutions that prepared financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS. During his time at PwC, Drula completed a two-year rotation in PwC’s National Office where he provided technical accounting guidance on financial instruments, fair value measurements, consolidation, and securitization. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Spanish, summa cum laude, at King’s College. He holds his CPA license in PA, VA, and NJ and is a member of the AICPA, PICPA, and VSCPA.

A Dauphine and Sorbonne graduate, with a postgraduate DESS in banking and finance, as well as a postgraduate DESCF in accounting and finance, Nicolas Dutreuil began his career at KPMG Audit, before moving to the Investment Banking Department at Calyon, where he stayed from 1999 to 2006. From 2006 to 2009, he was Head of Operations and Finance for Dolmea Real Estate, then Head of Investment Banking at Crédit Suisse. From 2009 to 2013, Nicolas Dutreuil was Deputy Finance Director at Icade, where his responsibilities included mergers-acquisitions, financing, cash management and investor relations. Nicolas Dutreuil joined Gecina in September 2013 as Chief Financial Officer before becoming Deputy CEO in charge of Finance in March 2019. He was awarded the Pierre d'Or 2020 in the "Financial Engineering" category.

Philip Grosse has held the position of CFO on the Management Board of Vonovia SE since January 2022. After completing his studies, he worked in investment banking in Frankfurt and London from 1997 to 2012, his last position being that of Managing Director and Head of Equity Capitals Markets in Germany and Austria at Credit Suisse. Philip Grosse has held leading positions with a focus on corporate finance and investor relations for the Deutsche Wohnen Group since 2013. In 2016, he was appointed to the Management Board of Deutsche Wohnen as CFO. Philip Grosse graduated from his studies in Business Administration with a focus in Banking and Finance at the University of Wurzburg in 1996. Prior to this he gained extensive finance experience both in the financial sector (Fischer Partners Fondkommision, Brunswick, HSH Nordbank), in the IT-services industry (Cell Network) as well as in industrial companies (AGA, Perstorp). Stéphane Tortajada has joined Klépierre as Executive Board member and Chief Financial Officer since June 22, 2022. He has over 25 years’ experience in finance and real estate. He has assumed leadership roles in fields like mergers and acquisitions, financing, capital markets and asset management, having worked both in investment banking institutions, notably Lazard, and most recently as the group head of finance and investment of the energy group EDF for twelve years. Laurent Fessmann heads the Banking & Finance practice at Baker McKenzie Luxembourg. He has 22 years’ experience in business law and started his career in 1996 as in-house counsel in a French CAC40 listed company, where he worked intensively on LBO transactions, capital markets and corporate law matters. He founded his own firm in August 2009 and established the Baker McKenzie Luxembourg office one year later. Grégory is a Tax Partner of the Real Estate department of PwC Belgium. He has worked for PwC Belgium’s Real Estate Group since 2001 and is now leading the PwC real estate practice in Belgium. Alex has been involved in research and transactions in the global listed real estate sector for over 30 years. His career has encompassed award-winning sell side research (BZW), investment banking (CSFB), private equity (Apax Partners Capital), and fund management. He formed AME Capital in 2002, which developed a proprietary database and analytical tool for all listed real estate companies and real estate securities funds globally. This business was sold to Macquarie Securities in 2008, where he stayed for over three years as Head of Global Property Securities Analytics. He formed Consilia Capital, a real estate investment advisory firm, in 2012, and has developed an international institutional client base, as well as publishing regularly in academic journals. Consilia Capital produces a monthly publication, based on the performance of real estate, infrastructure and real asset funds, which features academic papers of interest to practitioners. He is a member of the EPRA Research Committee, the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of European Real Estate Research, and was Chairman of the IPF Research Steering Group which sponsored the report on Real Estate Allocations within DC Pension Schemes in the UK. He is an advisor to Investec Asset Management, working with the Multi-Asset team, and is Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Investec GSF Global Real Estate Securities Fund, which he has been involved with since inception. As executive director of the European Real Estate Society (ERES) he has played a leading role in establishing the twice yearly ERES Industry Seminar from 2003 and the annual ERES Education Seminar from 2005. He was Head of Listed Real Estate at PGGM Investments and was the Fund Manager responsible for PGGM’s global listed real estate securities portfolio of € 12.5 billion. His background is in real estate investment, strategy, allocation and performance measurement. Hans was a partner with Global Property Research (GPR), a company specialized in strategy, benchmarking and performance measurement of listed property companies, from its start in 1996. In 2001, he joined Kempen & Co’s corporate finance practice focusing on property company transactions. Subsequently he joined IPD in London in 2003. As the Head of Property Vehicles, his responsibilities included the UK AREF indices for non-listed property fund performance and the development of the European INREV indices.
