Articles

Articles can be added using the Pages dropdown which will provide a Composer screen that allows attributes and content to be set. Once the page is created the initial content can be edited in the normal way.

When adding content to the main article please try and avoid pasting formatted html (e.g. from Word).  This will allow the words to pick up the proper website font styling.

Please also try and use proper html heading levels in the correct order:

  • The article Heading will already be h1 level
  • Use H2 level heading for main headings
  • H3 level for sub headings
  • Further heading levels in order when necessary

While the heading levels do provide visual stying, their main purpose is to allow visually impaired readers and machine readers to properly understand the structure of your article.

Headings

There are several ways to set heading content:

Page Name

The default (and required) name that appears in the sitemap and elsewhere.

Article Title Attribute

This allows longer titles to be used than you may wish to have for the usual Page Name. Setting this attribute overrides the Page Name on the Article page and Indexes.

Top Area

In edit mode you can choose to add content to the Top Area of the page - this will override either of the options above on the page and allows a 'free format' heading.  This could include a sub heading and bold or italic text etc.

Author

The article Author is now set from the list of available People.  People are managed in Katalysis Pro here. All detail of the person - image, qualifications etc. are pulled automatically from Katalysis Pro.

Featuring an Article

The Is Featured attribute can be used to mark an article as featured.  This will allow it to be included in the main article display blocks on the Home page, Newsroom page and the users' Welcome page.
